In the recent webinar, we discussed Stress Management and how to incorporate techniques into your day that will help you prevent some unnecessary stress.

Stress occurs when the demands placed on you exceed your ability to meet those demands.

In the right amount and setting, stress can actually be beneficial.  However, excessive stress is negatively impacting the workplace. Unmanaged stress leads to worker conflict, presenteeism, turnover, poor customer service, and low morale.

We reviewed the Stress Prevention Model and the six steps to go through to evaluate your stressors and learn where you can make changes to how you spend your time to set yourself up for success:

  1. Assess
  2. Avoid
  3. Appraise
  4. Accept
  5. Activate
  6. Attune
