Lifestyle Lift Program
This year CG Atlantic Medical and Life launched the first CG Zest Wellness Lifestyle Lift Program.
Our Bahamian graduates completed an intensive 12-week holistic lifestyle program covering physical and mental fitness, nutrition, and goal setting.
Here are 3 key lessons that our 2022 Lifestyle lift graduates embraced to help them stay on track with their lifestyle lift journey.
Understand why
Intrinsic motivation was central to our graduate's success in this program. Instead of a focus on extrinsic success indicators (weight loss, praise from others). Our graduates learned to dig deeper to find sustainable motivation in their personal reasons for change. For example, instead of improving their lifestyle for a number on the scale, they improved their lifestyle to ensure they had energy and vitality when spending time with loved ones.
You can get back on track!
Lifestyle journeys will have setbacks. When setbacks happen, it may be impossible to stick to your lifestyle goals for a day or two. An urgent work meeting might make it impossible to attend the gym in the evening. A sudden illness may disturb your sleep. These setbacks are not due to a lack of motivation. Instead of feeling terrible, our graduates practiced re-framing and re-setting their goals to “get back up” when faced with road bumps on their journey. If it feels like it's all gone wrong, recognize this feeling as your self-awareness. The act of being aware of your personal wellness is a positive step. Instead of seeing failure, see self-awareness. Our graduates were also reminded to consider how their future selves will be grateful for each positive lifestyle choice that’s made.
Getting buy-in from our participants really lent to the success of the program and our participants’ overall wellness success now and in the future. Lifestyle Lift was designed to provide you with the right mindset and tools to act as a stepping stone to further explore your personal wellness journey!
