Is Self-Care The Most Trending Thing Now? (DIY Self-Care)

I have gathered 4 simple ways to add self care into your routine utilizing objects and ingredients you probably already have on hand, and that are budget friendly. Whether you are still working from home, or working with a limited budget due to Covid-19, these simple methods are too easy not to try!

Coconut oil Hair mask

Using Regular Coconut oil, apply liberally to your hair, starting at the roots. You can leave this for anywhere from an hour to overnight, depending on what you are trying to achieve. Be sure to wash your hair well when you are done.

Bath salt soak

1 Cup Epsom Salt

1 Cup Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

3-6 Drops Food Coloring (can omit if preferred)

5-10 Drops of Essential Oil of Choice (doTERRA lavender is my favorite)

Mix all ingredients together well. Then store in your favorite jar until bath time. These also make a great gift and are highly customizable! Can also be used as just a foot soak for a DIY at home pedicure.

Cucumber eye mask

Eyes feeling puffy and fatigued from all the screen time? Grab a cucumber from the fridge, cut 2 slices, and place over your eyes. Simple!

Nature nook

Do you live in a city? Or don’t have regular access to green spaces and parks? You can still enjoy the benefits of nature by creating an indoor nature nook! Buy indoor plants, fresh cut flowers, or even a fish tank and create a nature nook in your own home.
