As Zest Wellness member, Terrell Farrington, knows, leading an active lifestyle does not have to be complicated.  Like many of us, Terrell is busy balancing work and children.  She has reached her goal of 7,000 steps for a record 145 days in a row!  Congratulations, Terrell, on this accomplishment!  Read on for Terrell's tips on making it all work.

1. How do you make sure you reach your daily goal?  What are your favorite ways to get your steps in?

It’s rather simple, having three very active children keeps me on my feet.  I won’t tell a lie, I haven’t been attending any aerobic classes, nor have I been waking up extremely early to do morning crunches.  My step count is due to my excessive amount of time I spend dealing with a two year old toddler and eliminating fights between my twelve and eight year old daughters.

On top of that, I am a workaholic, on the job as well as at home.  I tend to have a broom in my hands a whole lot, sweeping up after my household.  On weekends I find myself up and about either shopping or visiting family members.  I do enjoy cleaning because I don’t like untidy environments, so a lot of my workout comes from this.

 2. What are some tips you can share for new members?

If you’re like myself, cleaning and moving around with your kids will aid in getting those step counts in, but if you’re not, a good workout regime would also assist in achieving this.

 3. What healthy habits have you adopted since starting the program?

Since I’ve started the program, I’ve become more conscience of what I eat and try to move around as much as I can.

 4. Has the wellness program influenced any other areas of your life?

The wellness program has inspired me to eat more healthy, which has aided not only in good nutrition, but healthier hair growth.
